The Biewer terrier is a beautiful, younger breed originating in Germany. It arose from the terrier and has its own standard and a distinctive tricolour coat. The American Kennel Club (AKC) granted it full recognition in 2021, while the Fédération Cynologique Internationale (FCI) does not yet recognise it, so in Slovenia it is entered in the studbook as an unrecognised breed.
Temperament
The Biewer terrier is known for a particularly friendly, cheerful and sociable nature. It is less stubborn and more even-tempered than the classic terrier, full of curiosity and playfulness. It gets along excellently with people, children and other animals, which makes it an exceptionally popular family dog.
Appearance and coat
Its greatest distinction is the lavish tricolour coat, combining white, black and golden-brown tones. The coat is long, straight and silky, without an undercoat, and needs regular care. The Biewer is small to moderately small, of elegant and well-balanced build.

Because the Biewer terrier is an independent breed with its own pedigree, we pay careful attention to lineage and health in our breeding. We look for stud dogs abroad, in various countries, to maintain a healthy and varied gene pool and the quality of the breed.
Who it suits
The Biewer terrier is ideal for families, couples and individuals who want a friendly, adaptable and loving dog. Its calm nature means it is content in an apartment, though it also enjoys play and walks. It is a dog that wins every heart with ease.
